Working Principle&Application of Microbial Limit Test Device

Microbial limit test device, also called membrane filtration system, is widely used in pharmaceutical, disease control, food and chemical industries. The microbial limit test device is made of stainless steel and is equipped with a built-in imported diaphragm liquid pump. There is no need for an external suction filter bottle, and the liquid is directly discharged through the diaphragm liquid pump, which reduces the cumbersome use of the suction filter bottle, and avoids the disadvantages such as slow suction filtration speed  caused by poor connection.

Working principle:
Inject the test product into the microbial limit incubator, filter through the tester's own built-in imported diaphragm liquid pump under negative pressure, and trap the microorganisms in the test product on the filter membrane. Then take out the filter membrane with the membrane remover, and transfer to the configured solid medium with the bacteria side facing up and flat. Cover the lid to form a closed culture box, and place it in the corresponding constant temperature incubator to cultivate and count.

Main application:
1. Sterility inspection of Chinese and Western medicines for injection and large infusions;
2. Microbial limit inspection, used for oral Chinese and Western medicines, cosmetics, food, health food and other bacteria count, and also for semi-solid, suspension, solid and other samples inspection;
3. Clinical laboratory tests for bacteria in body fluids, and inspection of blood products and veterinary drug products;
4. Sterilization and filtration of a small amount of test materials.

Microbial limit test device usually has two culture methods: add culture medium to the glass cylinder for closed direct culture, and take out the filter membrane for the culture of aerobic bacteria, anaerobic bacteria and fungal.
